HD Radio™ Tuner Operation SRC MENU VOL PRESET 4 ¢ This HD Radio receiver enables: Basic operations Selecting HD Radio source Press the [SRC] button. Select the "HD RADIO" display. ✍✍SRC Select mode 2: Press the [SRC] button and then turn the [VOL] knob. To determine the selected source, press the [VOL] knob. Selecting the Receiving Band 1. Enter Menu List mode Press the [MENU] button. 2. Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed. Select "FM" or "AM". Selecting the Receiving station or channel Press the [4] or [¢] button. During reception of stereo stations the "ST" indicator is light up. ✍✍Details of the station selecting in operation are set in the "Seek Mode" of (page 24). ■■Program Service Data: Contributes to the superior user experience of HD Radio Technology. Presents song name, artist, station IDs, HD2/HD3 Channel Guide, and other relevant data streams. ■■Adjacent to traditional main stations are extra local FM channels. These HD2/HD3 Channels provide new, original music as well as deep cuts into traditional genre. ■■Digital, CD-quality sound. HD Radio Technology enables local radio stations to broadcast a clean digital signal. AM sounds like today's FM and FM sounds like a CD. ■■iTunes® Tagging provides you the opportunity to discover a wide range of content and the means to "tag" that content for later review and purchase from the iTunes® Store. 23 | KDC-X996/ KDC-BT952HD Station Preset Memory Putting a station in the memory. 1 Select the radio band and tune in a desired radio station you wish to store in the preset memory 2 Enter the Preset Memory mode Press the [PRESET] button. The "Preset List", "Mixed Preset List", and normal display are displayed in order each time you press this button. 3 Select the number to put in the memory Turn the [VOL] knob and press [VOL] knob for at least 2 seconds when the desired item is displayed. (FM/ AM/ Mixed) "-18" Preset number 18. (FM) ⁄ • You can register up to 18 FM stations and 6 AM stations. Selecting "Mixed Preset List" allows you to register up to six stations including FM, AM, and another the SiriusXM tuner regardless of the selected source. Cancelling the Preset Memory mode Press the [MENU] button. Auto Memory Entry Putting stations with good reception in the memory automatically. 1 Select the radio band you wish to store in the preset memory 2 Enter Menu List mode Press the [MENU] button. 3 Enter Auto Memory Entry mode Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed. Select "Settings" > "Auto Memory". 4 Open Auto Memory Entry Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed. Select "YES". When 18 stations (FM) or 6 stations (AM) that can be received are put in the memory, auto memory entry closes. Display "Settings" "Seek Mode" "Auto Memory" "Receive Mode" "TAG Memory" "Tagging" Overview Selects the HD Radio tuning mode. "Auto1": Automatic search for a station. "Auto2": Search in order of the stations in the Preset memory. "Manual": Normal manual tuning control. Memorizes 18 stations (FM) or 6 stations (AM) with good reception automatically. Refer to (page 24). Sets the HD Radio receive mode. "Auto": Automatically tunes to analog broadcast when there is no digital broadcast. "Digital": Digital broadcasts only. "Analog": Analog broadcasts only. Displays the tag memory usage of the HD Radio receiver and the SiriusXM tuner. Up to 50 tags can be registered to this unit. "0"/"50" Turns ON / OFF the tag memory function of the HD Radio receiver and the SiriusXM tuner. "OFF"/"ON" ( : Factory setting) 5 Make a setting Turn the [VOL] knob to select a setting value, and then press the [VOL] knob. 6 Exit Menu List mode Press the [MENU] button for at least 1 second, and then press it again briefly. Basic operations
Selecting HD Radio source
Press the [SRC] button.
Select the “HD RADIO” display.
SRC Select mode 2: Press the [SRC] button and
then turn the [VOL] knob. To determine the
selected source, press the [VOL] knob.
Selecting the Receiving Band
1. Enter Menu List mode
Press the [MENU] button.
2. Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the
desired item is displayed.
Select “FM” or “AM”.
Selecting the Receiving station or channel
Press the [
