Troubleshooting Problem Cause and/or solution A memory card is ■ Using a separate memory card to remove it: with contacts facing inserted in the Wi-Fi out, insert the card into the Wi-Fi card slot. Gently push the card card slot against the inserted card to unseat it from the connector. Remove the card by inverting the camera. Picture quality Problem Cause and/or solution Picture is too dark ■ Reposition the camera for more available light. ■ Use Fill flash (page 15) or change your position so light is not behind the subject. ■ Move so that the distance between you and the subject is within the effective flash range (page 15). ■ To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button halfway. When the AF framing brackets turn green, press the Shutter button completely down to take the picture. ■ Increase the exposure compensation (page 30). Picture is too light ■ Reposition the camera to reduce the amount of available light. ■ Turn flash off (page 15). ■ Move so that the distance between you and the subject is within the effective flash range (page 15). ■ To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button halfway.
