There are three ways to specify the connection, as shown below. • IP Address/Host Name You can specify the connection by entering the IPv4 address, IPv6 address, or host name directly. Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN) cannot be used, and up to 48 characters can be entered. • PortSpecify the output device by the port registered with the operating system. • Shared Printer Specify the output device by entering the path to a shared printer (e.g. "//server/printer"). Up to 239 characters can be entered. You can also click Browse to specify it while browsing for a shared printer.
