3.2 Image quality adjustment for Image Controller IC-308/IC-415 About Quality Adjustment To maintain stable color quality against a change in ambient temperature or humidity, a change of this machine conditions, or a change of the color tone due to the paper type or print mode, perform the image quality adjustment at periodic intervals. After you understand the image quality adjustment flow (timing, method, and order), perform a necessary adjustment. When the image controller IC-308/IC-415 is installed to this machine, there are 3 types of image quality adjustment flows as follows. Type of adjustment flow Regular adjustment flow (High accuracy) Adjustment flow when using a new type of paper Adjustment flow when changing the screen Adjustment timing • Every day, 30 minutes after you activate the power of the machine (when you require a high accuracy color reproduction) • Before you output a job that the color is important • When you are not satisfied with the color stability (want to improve the reproducibility) • When you use a new type of paper • When the color is not reproduced even though regular adjustment flow (high accuracy) is performed • When you change the setting of custom screen Required time Approximately 5 minutes Approximately 17 minutes Approximately 18 minutes NOTICE On this machine, when you configure the color density control to automatic, the regular adjustment flow (standard) is processed automatically. Image quality adjustment for Image Controller IC-308/IC-415
About Quality Adjustment
To maintain stable color quality against a change in ambient temperature or humidity, a change of this machine
conditions, or a change of the color tone due to the paper type or print mode, perform the image quality adjustment
at periodic intervals.
After you understand the image quality adjustment flow (timing, method, and order), perform a necessary adjustment.
When the
image controller IC-308/IC-415
is installed to this machine, there are 3 types of image quality adjustment
flows as follows.
NOTICE
On this machine, when you configure the color density control to automatic, the regular adjustment flow (standard) is
processed automatically. Before you use the machine, check the configuration of color density control.
For details of the procedures to check the configuration, refer to
P.3-64
.
Regular adjustment flow (High accuracy)
)
Adjustment timing
For customers that require a high accuracy color reproduction, conduct the process 30 minutes after you activate the
power every day.
For other cases, conduct the process in the following cases.
-
Before you output a job that the color is important
-
When you are not satisfied with the color stability (want to improve the reproducibility)
)
Adjustment order
Tips
If you interrupted the operation during the adjustment flow, be sure to perform Gamma Automatic Adjustment before
the rest of adjustment flow.
