Operation DVD Operation Playing a DVD PLAYBACK SETUP Turn on the TV and select the video input source connected to the Home Theater System. TO INSERT DISCS 1. Press OPEN SEL./CLOSE on the unit. "OPEN SEL" will appear in the display window. 2. Press the desired DISC (1-5) on the unit. The selected disc tray number will appear in the display window and on the TV screen. The drawer comes out and selected disc tray slides out. 3. Place a disc. Label side up When placing an 8 cm (3 inches) disc TO OPEN ALL DISCS Press EJECT ALL on the unit to open all disc tray in the drawer during playback or stop. "EJECT ALL" will appear in the display window. You can check a disc in the disc tray. TO SELECT A PLAYBACK DISC Press DISC SEL. and press desired disc button (DISC 1-5) on the remote control. Tip: You can also use the disc number play buttons on the unit. Notes: • To ensure good system performance, wait until the disc tray completely read the disc(s) before proceeding. • The Home Theater System.is only able to read the status of the current selected disc tray. TO REPLACE DISCS DURING PLAYBACK You are able to replace or load a disc into the other four trays without interrupting current playback. While playback, press OPEN SEL./CLOSE and press the desired DISC (1-5) on the unit to open disc tray (refer to "TO INSERT DISCS). Disc tray Drawer 4. Press OPEN SEL./CLOSE to close the tray. Playback starts automatically. If playback does not start, press PLAY(2). In some cases, the disc menu might appear instead: DVD-V Use the b B v V buttons to select the title/chapter you want to view, then press ENTER to start. Press TITLE or MENU to return to the menu screen. DVD-A Use the 1 2 3 4 buttons to select an option you want, then press ENTER to view the option. Notes: • If parental control is set and the disc is not within the rating settings you must input the password. (See "Lock Menu" on page 27). • DVDs may have a region code. Your Home Theater System does not play discs that have a region code different from your receiver. The region code for this receiver is 1 (one). Notes: • If you press OPEN SEL./CLOSE of the active disc tray, the disc will stop playing and the disc tray will slide out. • Once the disc tray is opened, it will be deselected. • Do not place more than one compact disc on one disc tray at the same time. • Do not push the drawer to close the one, as you may damage the unit. TO PLAY ALL DISCS ON THE DISC TRAYS CD Press DISC (1-5) on the remote control or on the unit. All the available discs will play once, then stop. Tip: During playback, track number and elapsed playing time of the current track will appear in the display window. Note: • This function is not available during Repeat playback or Programmed playback mode. 35

Playing a DVD
PLAYBACK SETUP
Turn on the TV and select the video input source
connected to the Home Theater System.
TO INSERT DISCS
1.
Press OPEN SEL./CLOSE on the unit.
“OPEN SEL” will appear in the display window.

Press the desired DISC (1-5) on the unit.
The selected disc tray number will appear in the
display window and on the TV screen.
The drawer comes out and selected disc tray
slides out.

Place a disc.

Press OPEN SEL./CLOSE to close the tray.
Playback starts automatically. If playback does not
start, press PLAY(

In some cases, the disc menu might appear
instead:
Use the
b B v V
buttons to select the title/chapter
you want to view, then press ENTER to start.
Press TITLE or MENU to return to the menu
screen.
Use the
1 2 3 4
buttons to select an option you
want, then press ENTER to view the option.
Notes:
If parental control is set and the disc is not within
the rating settings you must input the password.
(See “Lock Menu” on page 27).
DVDs may have a region code. Your Home Theater
System does not play discs that have a region code
different from your receiver. The region code for this
receiver is 1 (one).
TO OPEN ALL DISCS
Press EJECT ALL on the unit to open all disc tray in
the drawer during playback or stop.
“EJECT ALL” will appear in the display window.
You can check a disc in the disc tray.
TO SELECT A PLAYBACK DISC
Press DISC SEL. and press desired disc button (DISC
1-5) on the remote control.
Tip:
You can also use the disc number play buttons on the
unit.
Notes:
To ensure good system performance, wait until the disc
tray completely read the disc(s) before proceeding.
The Home Theater System.is only able to read the status
of the current selected disc tray.
TO REPLACE DISCS DURING PLAYBACK
You are able to replace or load a disc into the other
four trays without interrupting current playback.
While playback, press OPEN SEL./CLOSE and press
the desired DISC (1-5) on the unit to open disc tray
(refer to “TO INSERT DISCS).
Notes:
If you press OPEN SEL./CLOSE of the active disc tray, the
disc will stop playing and the disc tray will slide out.
Once the disc tray is opened, it will be deselected.
Do not place more than one compact disc on one disc tray
at the same time.
Do not push the drawer to close the one, as you may
damage the unit.
TO PLAY ALL DISCS ON THE DISC
TRAYS
Press DISC (1-5) on the remote control or on the unit.
All the available discs will play once, then stop.
Tip:
During playback, track number and elapsed playing
time of the current track will appear in the display
window.
Note:
This function is not available during Repeat playback or
Programmed playback mode.
