This topic provides instructions on how to replace the fan assembly. CAUTION: Hazardous moving parts. Keep fingers and other body parts away. Before you begin, print all the related instructions or ensure that you can view the PDF version on another computer for reference. Notes: • Depending on the model, your storage array might look slightly different from the illustrations in this topic. • Use any documentation that comes with the new fan assembly and follow those instructions in addition to the instructions in this topic. • Ensure that both fan assemblies are working correctly. Replace the failing fan assembly to avoid overheating problems. To replace the fan assembly, do the following: 1. Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the storage array. 2. Locate the failing fan assembly. See "Storage array components" on page 12. 3.
