Part Two: Specifying the Download Data Attribute byte 1 specifies the character type and additional information. Bit Bit Values Functions 7 0 if the character is an Ignored if bit 0 or bit 1 is set to 1. ascender (a character using only the upper 8 wires of the print head). 1 if the character is a descender, a character using only the lower 8 wires of the print head (for example, g).
