Operating Instructions continued Parental Controls (TV, VIDEO input only) Parents can block certain types of programming based on the content rating. To access the parental lock menu for TV programs press the "CH LOCK" button on your remote control while in TV mode. Using the numeric pad on your remote control, you must now enter your password. If you enter an incorrect password, you must press "exit" and start over by pressing "CH LOCK" on your remote control. The factory preset password is 1111. When the correct password is entered, you will be taken to a menu for the different TV ratings. Use the direction buttons on your remote control to choose the minimum rating and press the center select button on the remote control. After choosing a TV rating you will be prompted to "ALLOW" or "BLOCK" a sub category of ratings. By moving up or down on this menu you can choose "ALLOW" or "BLOCK" for each category. When you are finished making your selections, you can choose "EXIT" on your remote control to return to normal viewing. To change your password, select "PASSWORD" from the secondary menu in the TV ratings section. This will prompt you to enter a new password. Enter a four (4) digit numeric password. You will be prompted a second time to enter the new password for verification. If the new password is entered successfully a second time you will see a message that your password is successfully changed. To access the parental lock menu for VIDEO (DVD) programs press the "CH LOCK" button on your remote control while in Video 1 mode. When the correct password is entered, you will be taken to a menu for the different VIDEO ratings. Use the direction buttons on your remote control to choose the minimum rating and press the center select button on the remote control. When you are finished making your selection, you can choose "EXIT" on your remote control to return to normal viewing.
