User Manual for the NETGEAR 7300 Series Layer 3 Managed Switch Software config router ospf interface areaid This command sets the OSPF area to which the specified router interface belongs. The value for is an IP address, formatted as a 4-digit dotted-decimal number that uniquely identifies the area to which the interface connects. Assigning an area id, which does not exist on an interface, causes the area to be created with default values. Format config router ospf interface areaid config router ospf interface authtypekey This command sets the OSPF Authentication Type and Key for the specified interface. The value of is either none or simple. The [key] is composed of standard displayable, noncontrol keystrokes from a Standard 101/102-key keyboard. The authentication key must be 8 bytes or less if the authentication type is simple password. If the key is cryptographic, the key may be up to 256 bytes. Default Default Format The default authentication type is none. The default password key is not configured. Unauthenticated interfaces do not need an authentication key. config router ospf interface authtypekey [key] config router ospf interface interval dead This command sets the OSPF dead interval for the specified interface. The value for is a valid positive integer, which represents the length of time in seconds that a router's Hello packets have not been seen before its neighbor routers declare that the router is down. The value for the length of time must be the same for all routers attached to a common network. This value should be some multiple of the Hello Interval (i.e. 4).
