3. Select a security option: • WPA-PSK (TKIP) + WPA2-PSK (AES) or Mixed Mode. This provides the most reliable security, and is easiest to implement, but it might not be compatible with older adapters. • WPA2-PSK (AES). This provides the most reliable security compatible with my equipment. • WPA-PSK (TKIP). This provides the most reliable security compatible with my equipment. • WEP. This provides security compatible with my equipment (not recommended as reliable). • No security. I plan to set up security later through the web browser interface (not recommended). Follow the instructions in the User Manual or the WiFi range extender help screens if you need help setting up the security feature appropriate to your needs. 4. To save your settings click Apply. If you are configuring the extender from a wireless computer and you change the extender's SSID, channel, or security settings, you will lose your wireless connection when you click Apply. You must then change your computer's wireless settings to match the extender's new settings. You must be logged in to the extender to use this feature. To update firmware after you have set up your extender: 1. Log in to the WiFi range extender (see "Logging In" on page 17).
