N The Retouch Menu: Creating Retouched Copies To display the retouch menu, press G and select the N (retouch menu) tab. G button The retouch menu is used to create trimmed or retouched copies of the photographs on the memory card, and is only available when a memory card containing photographs is inserted in the camera. A Retouching Copies With the exceptions of Image overlay and Edit movie > Choose start point/Choose end point, each effect can be applied once (note that multiple edits may result in loss of detail). Options that can not be applied to the current image are grayed out and unavailable. A Image Quality Except in the case of copies created with Trim, Small picture, Image overlay, and NEF (RAW) processing, copies created from JPEG images are the same size and quality as the original, while copies created from NEF (RAW) photos are saved as large fine-quality JPEG images. Time stamps added with Date Imprint (0 147) may however be cropped out or illegible depending on the retouch options used. u 151
