How To Adjust The Reed Switch

HOW TO ADJUST THE REED SWITCH If the console does not display correct feedback, the reed switch should be adjusted. To adjust the reed switch, first unplug the power adapter. Then, follow the steps below. Next, look between the Shield Discs (62) and locate the Reed Switch (57) (see the inset drawing). Turn the Shield Discs until a Magnet (84) on the Pulley (90) is aligned with the Reed Switch. See assembly step 16 on page 13. Remove the Bracket Covers (28, 100) from the Right Pedal Arm (8). See assembly step 15 on page 13. Remove the 62 Pedal Arm Covers (36, 101) from the Right Pedal Arm (8). See assembly step 9 on page 10. Detach the Right Pedal Arm (8) from the right Upper Body Leg (7). See assembly step 8 on page 9. Detach the Right Pedal Arm (8) from the right Crank Arm (20). Set the Right Pedal Arm aside. Next, identify the Right and Left Front Shields (77, 86) and the Right and Left Shields (60, 69). Remove all of the M4 x 18mm Screws (not shown) from the Right and Left Front Shields and from the Right and Left Shields. Then, slide the Lower Upright Cover (58) upward, and remove the Right Front Shield and the Right Shield. 60, 69 86 58 62 57 90 84 See the drawing above. Slide the Reed Switch (57) slightly closer to or away from the Magnet (84). Then, plug in the power adapter, and rock the Shield Discs (62) forward and backward just enough that the Magnet passes the Reed Switch repeatedly. Repeat these actions until the console displays correct feedback. When the reed switch is correctly adjusted, unplug the power adapter, and reattach all the parts that you removed. 77 26

HOW TO ADJUST THE REED SWITCH
If the console does not display correct feedback, the
reed switch should be adjusted. To adjust the reed
switch, first
unplug the power adapter.
Then, follow
the steps below.
See assembly step 16 on page 13.
Remove the
Bracket Covers (28, 100) from the Right Pedal Arm (8).
See assembly step 15 on page 13.
Remove the
Pedal Arm Covers (36, 101) from the Right Pedal
Arm (8).
See assembly step 9 on page 10.
Detach the Right
Pedal Arm (8) from the right Upper Body Leg (7).
See assembly step 8 on page 9.
Detach the Right
Pedal Arm (8) from the right Crank Arm (20). Set the
Right Pedal Arm aside.
Next, identify the Right and Left Front Shields (77, 86)
and the Right and Left Shields (60, 69). Remove all of
the M4 x 18mm Screws (not shown) from the Right and
Left Front Shields and from the Right and Left Shields.
Then, slide the Lower Upright Cover (58) upward, and
remove the Right Front Shield and the Right Shield.
Next, look between the Shield Discs (62) and locate
the Reed Switch (57) (see the inset drawing). Turn the
Shield Discs until a Magnet (84) on the Pulley (90) is
aligned with the Reed Switch.

Slide the Reed Switch
(57) slightly closer to or away from the Magnet (84).
Then, plug in the power adapter, and rock the Shield
Discs (62) forward and backward just enough that the
Magnet passes the Reed Switch repeatedly.
Repeat these actions until the console displays correct
feedback. When the reed switch is correctly adjusted,
unplug the power adapter, and reattach all the parts
that you removed.
