I ATTACHING THE STRAP 1 Pass the short end of the strap through the strap eyelet. 2 Pass the long end of the strap through the loop. 3 Pull tight and check that the strap is securely attached. I LOADING THE BATTERIES This camera uses four AA alkaline (included), NiMH, lithium or NiCD batteries, or two CR-V3 lithium battery packs. 1 Check that the lens barrier is closed and both the monitor and the green lamp are off. 2 Pull the battery compartment cover A toward A and pull up in the direction of B. B 3 Insert the batteries as shown, making sure that they are correctly oriented. 4 Pull down the battery compartment cover in the direction of C and close firmly by pressing the mark in the direction of D. D C Caution 6 En • If the battery compartment cover is difficult to close, press on the mark and [OPEN] mark on the cover with your both thumbs without applying unreasonable force. • If the camera is left without batteries for about one hour, all the settings will be reset to the default settings. • When powering the camera by batteries, if the batteries start to run low, the red battery status will be displayed. Pass the short end of the strap through the

attached.
