Playback on a TV Recorded images can be played back on your TV. 1 Turn the camera and TV off, and connect the video cable as illustrated. 2 Turn the TV on and switch it to the video input mode. 3 Turn the camera on and press the (playback mode) buttton. ● The last picture taken is displayed on the TV. Use the arrow pad to select the picture you want to display (P. 107). ● The close-up playback, index display and slideshow functions can also be used on a TV screen. VIDEO OUT jack button Video cable Video input terminal Note ● Use of the optional AC adapter is recommended. ● Make sure that the camera's video output signal type is the same as the TV's video signal type. ~"VIDEO OUT" (P. 131). ● The camera's monitor turns off automatically when the video cable is connected to the 8 camera. ● Be sure to use the provided video cable to connect the camera to the TV. Playback ● The picture may appear off-center on the TV screen. ● Pictures will be compressed in order to fit the entire image on the TV screen, and a black frame will appear around the image. If the picture is sent to a video printer via the TV, the black frame may also be printed. 112

Playback on a TV
Recorded images can be played back on your TV.

Turn the camera and TV off, and connect
the video cable as illustrated.

Turn the TV on and switch it to the video
input mode.

Turn the camera on and press the
(playback mode) buttton.
The last picture taken is displayed on the TV.
Use the arrow pad to select the picture you
want to display (P. 107).
The close-up playback, index display and
slideshow functions can also be used on a TV
screen.
Note
Use of the optional AC adapter is recommended.
Make sure that the camera’s video output signal type is the same as the TV’s video signal
type.
