I. System Recovery In the event that Factory Reset does not resolve an issue, it is possible to use the System Restore option, which will do the following: n E rase all settings and all system updates from the device; all data will be lost and cannot be recovered. n D owngrade the unit to the original system version that it was shipped with. n E nable you to reset the administrator password. Note: The Factory Reset option also erases all configuration and plugin settings, but keeps any system updates intact. Important: If you plan to retrieve Logs, do so before applying the recovery procedure; recovery procedure erases the logs. To begin System Restore, proceed with the instructions for your adapter model: KV-SS1100 System Restore: 1. If adapter is On, press [Power] button to turn unit Off. 2. Connect a USB keyboard to one of the USB ports on the unit. 3. Turn adapter On. 4. After blue Panasonic screen displays, the message, "Press Alt + F4 to RESTORE ...." will appear. Simultaneously press and hold Alt and F4. Note: The key combination will not be recognized if the keys have been pressed prior to this screen. 5. Wait while the device loads into System Restore. Once System Restore has loaded, follow the on-screen instructions and confirm the dialogs via adapter touch screen. Note: The recovery procedure takes approximately 5 - 10 minutes to restore the unit. Do not power down the unit during this time. 6. Once System Restore is complete, confirm the dialog and the system will reboot, and various screens will appear. Only operate the device after it finishes the restore process. 7. After system reboots, perform Initial Configuration procedure, using either Configure Device Now or Firmware Update. Important: The adapter may display a message to perform system configuration via the Admin Tool web page. If so, open your web browser, enter the adapter's IP address. System Recovery
In the event that
