Answering System > Automatic Answering Operation Monitoring incoming calls While a call is being recorded, you can monitor it through the base unit speaker. • To increase the speaker volume, press VOL. [ ]. To decrease volume, press VOL. [ ]. To answer the call, press [ ] or [ ] on the handset. The unit will stop recording. > Listening to Messages You can see the total number of recorded messages on the base unit display. When new messages have been recorded, the NEW MESSAGE indicator flashes. Voice Day/Time Stamp: During playback, the unit will announce the day and time when each message was recorded (p. 13).
