PDF Direct Print, characters are 5 missing or misshapen. The paper size appears on the control panel and printing is not performed with PDF Direct Print. When using PDF Direct Print, printing will be performed only when paper of the size set within the PDF file is loaded. When a message indicating a paper size appears, either load paper of the indicated size in the paper tray or perform Form Feed. If [Tray Paper Size: Paper Feed Tray] in the online print feature menu is set to [Auto Detect], printing proceeds even if the size of the paper loaded in the paper feed tray differs from the page size of the PDF file. The printing data is left in the machine's input buffer. Do not use NetWare to configure form feed. Form feed is controlled by the printer driver on Windows. If NetWare form feed is configured, the printer may not print properly. Follow the procedure below to disable form feed according to the operating system used: • Under Windows 95/98/Me, clear the [Form feed] check box on the [Printer Settings] tab in the printer properties dialog box. • Under Windows 2000/XP, Windows Server 2003, or Windows NT 4.0, clear the [Form feed] check box on the [NetWare Settings] tab in the printer properties dialog box. 86
