How to Set up Restrictions using "Canadian French": E, G, 8 ans +, 13 ans +, 16 ans +, 18 ans + First, set up a personal identification number (PIN), and enable the V-Chip. (refer to page 125) 1 Press the MENU button. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select "Setup", then press the ENTER button. TV 2 Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select "V-Chip", then press the ENTER button. The message "Enter PIN" will appear. Enter your 4 digit PIN. TV 3 The V-Chip screen will appear. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select "Canadian French", then press the ENTER button. 4 The Canadian French screen will appear. Repeatedly press the ▲ or ▼ button to select a particular Canadian French category. Pressing the ▲ or ▼ button will cycle through the Canadian French categories: TV E Exempt programming includes...news, sports, documentaries and other information programming, talk shows, music videos, and variety programming. G General 8 ans + Not recommended for young children 13 ans + Programming may not be suitable for children under the age of 13 16 ans + Programming is not suitable for children under the age of 16 18 ans + Programming restricted to adults TV While a particular category is selected, press the ENTER button to activate it. A selected symbol " " will be displayed. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select other items. 5 Press the EXIT button to save the settings and to clear all screens. For example, if you block "8 ans+" category, then "13 ans+", "16 ans+" and "18 ans+" will automatically be blocked also. • Allow All : Press to unlock all TV ratings.
