Adjusting the Phone's Volume Settings You can adjust your phone's volume settings to suit your needs and your environment. To adjust the ringer, key beep, or earpiece volume: 1. Press . 2. Highlight Settings and press . 3. Press for Sounds. 4. Press for Ringer Volume. 5. Press for Calls, for Messages, or for Alarms. 6. Press left or right until the desired volume level is selected and press to Save and exit. Tip: You can adjust the ringer volume in standby mode (or the earpiece volume during a call) by using the volume key on the side of your phone. Alert Notification Your Sprint PCS Phone can alert you with an audible tone when you change service areas, once a minute during a voice call, or when a call has been connected. The different actions available are: ⅷ Minute Beep - An alert tone is sounded every minute that you are connected. ⅷ Service - An alert tone is sounded when you come in or out of your coverage area. ⅷ Connect - An alert tone is sounded when you are initially connected. ⅷ Signal Fade Tone - An alert tone is sounded when the signal fades and the connection is lost. ⅷ Power On/Off - An alert tone is sounded when your phone is powered On or Off. ⅷ Flip Sound - An alert is sounded when the flip is opened or closed.
