Shooting modes Using the Program mode Set various options (except for shutter speed and aperture value) in the Program mode. 1 In Shooting mode, select a p. 2 Set options. (For a list of options, refer to "Shooting options.") 3 Align your subject in the frame and half-press [Shutter] to focus. 4 Press [Shutter] to take the photo. Recording a video Record videos of up to 20 minutes in length in high definition. The recorded video is saved as an MP4 (H.264) file. • H.264 (MPEG-4 part10/AVC) is a high-compression video format established by international standard organizations ISO/IEC and ITU-T. • Some memory cards may not support high definition recording. In this case, set a lower resolution. (p. 46) • Memory cards with slow writing speed will not support high-resolution videos and high-speed videos. To record high-resolution or highspeed videos, use memory cards with fast writing speed. • When the Optical Image Stabilization ( ) is activated, your video may be recorded with the OIS operation sound. • The zoom sound may be recorded if you use the zoom while recording a video. 1 In Shooting mode, select a v. 2 Select f a frame rate (the number of frames per second). • As the number of frames increases, action appears more natural, but the file size is increased.
