Troubleshooting Defect Does not function at all; operation indicator 5 does not light. Does not function at all; operation indicator 5 lights. Interruptions (drop-outs) Possible cause Batteries installed improperly or exhausted. 1. Transmitter not switched on. 2. Transmission frequency not identical with receiving frequency. 3. Squelch set too high (see the section describing "Setting the squelch"). 4. Transmitter at a adjacent frequency too close to the receiver (blocking effect). 1. Receiver installed to low. (Only for EK 2012 TV: type A5 headset antenna may be used to remedy the problem). 2. Squelch set too high (see the section describing "Setting the squelch"). 3. Transmitter defective. 18
