Shooting still images • The image through the finder does not indicate the actual recordable range. This is due to parallax. To confirm the recordable range, use the LCD screen. • Just as with the AE/AF lock indicator on the LCD screen, when the AE/AF lock lamp of the finder section stops flashing and remains on, you can start shooting (page 30). • When the LCD screen is turned off: - The digital zoom does not function (page 31). - [AF Mode] is set to [Single] (page 68). - If you press (Flash mode)/ (Self-timer)/ (Macro), the image will be displayed on the LCD screen for approximately two seconds so you can check or change the setting. • When shooting/viewing movies, the status of the LCD screen changes as follows: Indicators off  LCD screen off  Indicators on • For a detailed description of the indicators, see page 149. • For a detailed description of the histogram, see page 62. • This setting is maintained even when the power is turned off.
