MENU Control button Mode dial • When using center-weighted metering or spot metering, to focus on the same spot as used for metering, we recommend using the center weighted AF range finder frame (page 66). • You cannot select the metering mode when using the NightFraming/NightShot function.  Set the mode dial to P, S, A, M, SCN or .  Press MENU. Use this mode when you do not get the proper exposure, for instance, the subject and its background have high contrast (light and dark).
