OPERATION Programmed Playback CD MP3 JPEG WMA VCD2.0 VCD1.1 Programmed Playback with Audio CD, MP3, JPEG and WMA Disc CD MP3 JPEG WMA Program allows you to store your favorite tracks (or files) for a particular disc in the player memory. Program can contain 32 tracks (Audio CD/Video CD) or 60 tracks (MP3/JPEG/WMA disc). 1 Insert a disc and close the tray. • The Audio CD menu appears. • If MP3, JPEG or WMA disc is inserted, the MP3/JPEG/WMA choice menu appears on the TV screen. Press v/V to select the MP3, JPEG or WMA then press ENTER. The MP3, JPEG or WMA menu appears on the TV screen. Press RETURN to move to the previous menu (MP3/JPEG/WMA choice menu). 2 Press PROGRAM in the stop mode or during playback (Audio CD, MP3 and WMA only) to enter the Program Edit mode. The E mark will appear to the right of the word Program on the right side of the menu screen. Note Press PROGRAM to exit the Program Edit mode; the E mark will disappear. 3 Press v/V to select a track/file then press ENTER to place the selected track/file on the Program list. 4 Repeat step 3 to place additional tracks/files on the Program list. The programmed track/file you selected last is highlighted on the program list. 6 Press v/V to select the track/file you want to start playing. Press TOP MENU to move to the next page. Press MENU to move to the previous page. 7 Press ENTER or PLAY to start. Playback begins in the order in which you programmed the tracks/files and "PROG." appears in the display window. Playback stops after playing the last programmed track/file on the program list. Note The programmed tracks/files are cleared when the power is turned off or the disc is removed. 1-39

Programmed Playback with
Audio CD, MP3, JPEG and WMA
Disc
Program allows you to store your favorite tracks
(or files) for a particular disc in the player memory.
Program can contain 32 tracks (Audio CD/Video CD) or
60 tracks (MP3/JPEG/WMA disc).

Insert a disc and close the tray.
The Audio CD menu appears.
If MP3, JPEG or WMA disc is inserted, the
MP3/JPEG/WMA choice menu appears on the TV
screen.
Press
/
to select the MP3, JPEG or WMA then
press ENTER. The MP3, JPEG or WMA menu
appears on the TV screen. Press RETURN to
move to the previous menu (MP3/JPEG/WMA
choice menu).

Press PROGRAM in the stop mode or during
playback (Audio CD, MP3 and WMA only) to
enter the Program Edit mode.
The
mark will appear to the right of the word Program
on the right side of the menu screen.
Note
Press PROGRAM to exit the Program Edit mode;
the
mark will disappear.

Press

to select a track/file then press
ENTER to place the selected track/file on the
Program list.

Repeat step 3 to place additional tracks/files on
the Program list.

start playing.
Press TOP MENU to move to the next page.
Press MENU to move to the previous page.

Press ENTER or PLAY to start.
Playback begins in the order in which you programmed the
tracks/files and “PROG.” appears in the display window.
Playback stops after playing the last programmed track/file
on the program list.
Note
The programmed tracks/files are cleared when the
power is turned off or the disc is removed.
Programmed Playback with
Video CD
Note
On a Video CD with PBC, you must set PBC to Off on the
setup menu to use the Program function. See page 20.

playback
