Description of Menu Items Item Toner Refresh Drum Refresh Init PrintMeter Initialize NVM Reset Fuser Description Resolves PQ defects associated with charge problems after low coverage print jobs. Helps improve imaging unit performance after over exposure to light. Initializes the print meter. Initializes the settings stored in the NVM except for the network settings. The NVM is a nonvolatile memory that stores the printer settings even after the power is turned off. After executing this function and restarting the printer, all the menu parameters are reset to their default values. ■ You cannot execute this menu during printing. ■ You need to restart the printer to activate this setting. After making the setting, turn off the printer and then turn it on again. Resets the count for fuser life to 0. Control Panel Specifies whether to limit menu operations with a password to avoid changing the printer settings by accident. Item Panel Lock Change Password Description Specifies whether to limit the menu operations with a password. Selecting On requires the operator to enter the password. If On is set, then you must enter the password to use the Admin Menu. The default is Off. Allows you to change the Panel Lock password. Enable Panel Lock to see this option. Reset Fuser
Resets the count for fuser life to 0.
