Control Panel Error Messages Message Ready to Print Transfer Unit Replace Soon Reboot Printer NNN-NNN Replace XXX Print Cartridge Replace Transfer Unit Condition/Reason/Action It is nearly time to replace the transfer unit. Purchase a new transfer unit. The fuser is not installed correctly or is not working correctly due to damage or malfunction. Reinstall the fuser. The print cartridge has become empty. Replace the old print cartridge with a new one. Time to replace the transfer unit. Replace the old transfer unit with a new one. XXX indicates one of the following: the Yellow Toner (Y), Cyan Toner (C), Magenta Toner (M), Black Toner (K), or fuser. NNN indicates a numeric value. Messages About the Printer and Other Items Message 042-700 Over Heat 077-912 Push in Tray 2 Jam at Tray 1 Check Tray 1 Open Door A Door A Open Close Door A Invalid Feature Press Set Invalid Job Press Set Condition/Reason/Action The printer's internal temperature is too high. The printer has been stopped. Wait 1 hour before restarting the printer. Ensure the printer has adequate cooling space around it, and that the cooling vents are not blocked. Tray 2 is pulled out. Push Tray 2 into the correct position. Paper is jammed inside Tray 1 (MPT). Remove the jammed paper. Open and close the front cover. See Paper Jams on page 7-2. The front cover is open. Close the front cover. The user is not registered to print in color when using an authentication function. Contact your administrator. When the configuration of the printer on the print driver does not conform to the printer you are using, this message appears. Press the Cancel button to cancel the print job.
