INTRODUCTION PREPARATION SLEEP TIMER The SLEEP timer can be used to automatically set this unit in the standby mode. This timer is useful when you are going to sleep while enjoying a broadcast or other desired input source. The SLEEP timer can only be set with the remote control. Notes • First press AMP(TUNER), TAPE/MD, CD or DVD/LD on the component selector to set the SLEEP timer for this unit. • The SLEEP timer is effective for the components connected to the AC OUTLET(S) on the rear panel of this unit. Setting the SLEEP Timer 1 Play a source you want to enjoy when you are going to sleep. 2 Press SLEEP repeatedly to select the desired SLEEP time. Each time you press SLEEP, the SLEEP time will change as below: 120 90 60 30 The SLEEP timer is off (SLEEP OFF). (This is the state before SLEEP is pressed.) Canceling the SLEEP Timer Press SLEEP repeatedly until "SLEEP OFF" appears on the display. It will soon disappear and the "SLEEP" indicator will go off. Note • The SLEEP timer can also be canceled by setting the unit in the standby mode by using POWER on the remote control (or STANDBY/ON), or by disconnecting the AC power cord from the AC power outlet. BASS EXT. SLEEP Flashes 3 The "SLEEP" indicator soon lights up on the display after the SLEEP timer has been set. The display returns to the previous indication.
