CHAPTER 45 Introducing Commands This chapter introduces commands and gives a summary of commands available. 45.1 Overview In addition to the web configurator, you can use commands to configure the Switch. Use commands for advanced Switch diagnosis and troubleshooting. If you have problems with your Switch, customer support may request that you issue some of these commands to assist them in troubleshooting. " See the web configurator parts of this User's Guide for background information on features configurable by the web configurator. 45.2 Accessing the CLI You can use a direct console connection or Telnet to access the command interpreter on the Switch. " The Switch automatically logs you out of the management interface after five minutes of inactivity. If this happens to you, simply log back in again. • By default, multiple command interpreter management session are allowed via either the console port or Telnet.
