Using Electronic Speed Control on Hills NOTE: The Electronic Speed Control system maintains speed up and down hills. A slight speed change on moderate hills is normal. The automatic transmission will downshift while climbing uphill or descending downhill. This downshift is necessary to maintain vehicle set speed.
