Roadside Emergencies Wheel cover removal If you have the 15" aluminum wheels, remove the wheel cap to gain access to the lug nuts. To remove the cap, insert the tapered end of the jack handle behind the notch in the wheel and gently pry the cap off. To replace it, press it back on. To replace 15" aluminum wheel ornament, align the pry-off notch with one of the five mounds on the wheel face. Hit the ornament with your palm while keeping the ornament against the wheel until the ornament is seated on the wheel. If your vehicle is equipped with 16" aluminum wheels, perform the following procedure to remove the wheel ornaments: 1. Remove the wheel from the vehicle. 2. Drive the ornaments off the wheel from behind with a wooden handle of a hammer or a similar instrument. 253
