Controls and features 3. Set the fan speed to HI 4. Direct the outer panel vents towards to side windows To increase airflow to the outer panel vents, close the central panel vents. Do not place objects on top of the instrument panel, as these objects may become projectiles in a collision or sudden stop. PASSENGER AIR BAG ON/OFF SWITCH (IF EQUIPPED) This switch must be used to deactivate the passenger air bag whenever a child seat is used in the right front or center front passenger seat position. Refer to Passenger air bag ON/OFF switchin the Seating and safety restraints chapter. PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF OFF ON POSITIONS OF THE IGNITION 1. ACCESSORY, allows the electrical 4 accessories such as the radio to 3 operate while the engine is not 5 running. 2. LOCK, locks the steering wheel, 2 automatic transmission gearshift lever and allows key removal. 1 3. OFF, shuts off the engine and all accessories without locking the steering wheel. 4. ON, all electrical circuits operational. Warning lights illuminated. Key position when driving. 5. START, cranks the engine. Release the key as soon as the engine starts. 62
