Brake Light Switch
Only the switch at the rear brake pedal can be
adjusted.
When the brake pedal is depressed, the brake light
goes on. The brake light switch should be inspected
in accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart.
The brake light switches of the front brake lever
and rear brake lever cannot be adjusted.
Inspection
Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position.
Depress the brake pedal. The brake light should
go on after about 10 mm (0.4 in.) of pedal travel.

If the brake light does not illuminate, check the
bulb and,
if necessary,
adjust the brake light
switch.
Adjustment
To adjust the brake light switch (located near the
brake pedal), move the switch forward or rearward
