Loosen the clamp screw and pull out the element
and element frame from the air cleaner housing.
A. Air Cleaner Element
B. Air Cleaner Housing
C. Clamp Screw
D. Element Frame
Check inside the intake tract and carburetor for
dirt. If dirt is present, clean the intake tract and car-
buretor thoroughly. You may also need to replace
the air cleaner and seal the air cleaner housing and
intake tract.
Push a clean, lint-free towel into the intake tract to
keep dirt or other foreign material from entering.
Wipe out the inside of the air cleaner housing with
a clean damp towel.
