MAINTENANCE Brakes WARNING • Do not operate the rear brake while its reservoir cover is removed. Fluid could overflow from the reservoir and cause air to enter the fluid system. Air in the brake fluid system could cause the brakes to malfunction. • Use only DOT 4 brake fluid from a sealed, clean container. Using the wrong brake fluid, or allowing contaminants into the brake fluid system, can damage the system seals, resulting in the brakes malfunctioning. Check Rear Brake Fluid Level 1. To check the rear brake fluid level, remove the right side cover. Straddle the motorcycle and bring it to a vertical position. 2. View the brake fluid through the reservoir. Brakes
Do not operate the rear brake while its reservoir cover is removed. Fluid could overflow from
the reservoir and cause air to enter the fluid system. Air in the brake fluid system could cause
the brakes to malfunction.
Use only DOT 4 brake fluid from a sealed, clean container. Using the wrong brake fluid, or
allowing contaminants into the brake fluid system, can damage the system seals, resulting in the
brakes malfunctioning.

To check the rear brake fluid level, remove the right side cover.
Straddle the motorcycle and bring it to a vertical position.

View the brake fluid through the reservoir. The fluid should be
