Clutch Lubricate Clutch Lever 1. Remove the seat (page 124). 2. Remove front and rear fuel tank screws (page 102). 3. Raise the rear of the fuel tank high enough to expose the clutch cable adjuster. Disconnect fuel line by pushing the tab on the quick-disconnect, and support rear of tank with a block of wood. 4. Slide rubber cover off adjuster and loosen adjuster lock nut (1) while holding cable (2). 5. Turn cable adjuster (3) all the way in to obtain maximum clutch lever freeplay. 6. Remove clutch lever pivot nut (4), plate (5), and screw (6). 7. Disconnect clutch cable from clutch lever. 8. Remove any old grease and dirt from the clutch lever and lever housing. 9. Lubricate the clutch lever bushing, washers (7), pivot screw with VICTORY All Purpose Grease or equivalent. 10. Reconnect the clutch cable and reinstall the clutch lever with washers, lever pivot screw, plate, and nut. Torque: 52 in-lbs (6 Nm) 11. MAINTENANCE
Clutch
Lubricate Clutch Lever
1.
Remove the seat (page 124).
2.
Remove front and rear fuel tank screws (page 102).
3.
Raise the rear of the fuel tank high enough to expose the
clutch cable adjuster. Disconnect fuel line by pushing the
tab on the quick-disconnect, and support rear of tank with a
block of wood.
4.
Slide rubber cover off adjuster and loosen adjuster lock nut
(1) while holding cable (2).
5.
Turn cable adjuster (3) all the way in to obtain maximum
clutch lever freeplay.
6.
Remove clutch lever pivot nut (4), plate (5), and screw (6).
7.
Disconnect clutch cable from clutch lever.
8.
Remove any old grease and dirt from the clutch lever and
lever housing.
9.
Lubricate the clutch lever bushing, washers (7), pivot
screw with VICTORY All Purpose Grease or equivalent.
10. Reconnect the clutch cable and reinstall the clutch lever
with washers, lever pivot screw, plate, and nut.
Torque: 52 in-lbs (6 Nm)
11. Adjust clutch lever freeplay (Steps 5-10 on page 108.)
