MAINTENANCE Brakes Check Rear Brake Pedal Freeplay and Movement Rear brake pedal freeplay - the amount of brake pedal movement from the rest position to the point of contacting the master cylinder should be 3/16-5/16 inch (5-8 mm). Adjust pedal freeplay as necessary. Press and release the rear brake pedal. It should move freely and smoothly and should return to its rest position quickly when you release it. You should feel a firm resistance in the pedal within the first 3/4 inch (19 mm) of pedal travel. If the brake pedal travels too far before beginning to engage the brake, see the VICTORY Service Manual, or contact an authorized VICTORY dealer for service. 3/16-5/16 inch (5-8 mm) Adjust Rear Brake Pedal Freeplay 1. Loosen the brake linkage rod locknut (A). 2. Turn the linkage rod (B) in or out as necessary. 3. Tighten the linkage rod locknuts. 4. Check the brake pedal freeplay. A B 113

Check Rear Brake Pedal Freeplay and Movement
Rear brake pedal freeplay - the amount of brake pedal movement from
the rest position to the point of contacting the master cylinder should be
3/16-5/16 inch (5-8 mm)
. Adjust pedal freeplay as necessary.
Press and release the rear brake pedal. It should move freely and
smoothly and should return to its rest position quickly when you release
it. You should feel a firm resistance in the pedal within the first 3/4 inch
(19 mm) of pedal travel.

Adjust Rear Brake Pedal Freeplay
1.
Loosen the brake linkage rod locknut (A).
2.
Turn the linkage rod (B) in or out as necessary.
3.
Tighten the linkage rod locknuts.
4.
Check the brake pedal freeplay.
