Each port supports automatic MDI/MDI-X detection and can be connected to either a 10BASE-T, or a 100BASE-TX device. Ports 1 to 24 are autonegotiating - their speed and duplex mode (half-duplex or full-duplex) are automatically determined by the capabilities of the connected device. Ports 1 to 24 can also be used to deliver Power over Ethernet. The Switch will automatically detect PoE devices connected to these ports and, providing sufficient power is available (see the Power Management Section), supply power the devices.
