44 CHAPTER 4: CONFIGURING THE SWITCH Figure 22 Statistics Screen Figure 23 Port Statistics Screen Figures that appear onscreen indicate the number of packets transmitted (Tx) and received (Rx). ■ To reset all packet counts to zero, click Clear Counters. ■ To view detailed statistics for each port, click the port number. The statistics page for the port appears, as shown in Figure 23. Figures on the Statistics screen for individual ports are not updated in real time. To view the latest statistics for the port, click Refresh. Monitoring Traffic The Switch allows you to monitor traffic going in and out of a particular port. For traffic monitoring to work, you need to attach a network analyzer to one port and use it to monitor the traffic of other ports in the stack. To set up traffic monitoring, you need to set an analysis port (the port that is connected to the analyzer), and a monitor port (the port that is to be monitored).
