10.3 Removing the shelf supports To clean the oven, remove the shelf supports. 1. Pull the front of the shelf support away from the side wall. 2. Pull the rear end of the shelf support away from the side wall and remove it. 1 2 Install the shelf supports in the opposite sequence. 10.4 Catalysis CAUTION! Do not clean the catalytic surface with oven sprays, abrasive cleaning agents, soap or other cleaning agents. This will damage the catalytic surface. Clean the inner glass of the oven door with warm water and a soft cloth. Remove all accessories. The walls and the top of the cavity are coated with catalytic enamel. It gathers fat and dirt which burns off at high temperatures without leaving a smell. To support this self-cleaning process heat the empty appliance regularly. ENGLISH 29 Spots or discolouration of the catalytic surface have no effect on its catalytic properties. 1. Set the Catalysis function. Refer to "Oven functions". The display shows CATA and the duration of the cleaning procedure (1 hour). You cannot change the duration, but you can use the End function to delay the start of the cleaning procedure. An acoustic signal sounds after the time ends. The appliance deactivates. 2. Push a button to stop the acoustic signal. 3. Clean the bottom of the appliance with a damp soft sponge. To stop Catalysis before it finishes, turn the knob for the oven functions to the off position. 10.5 Cleaning reminder As a reminder that catalytic cleaning is necessary, CATA flashes in the display for 10 seconds after each activation and deactivation of the appliance.
