Adjust the trunnions first and re-take the three measurements required to level and adjust the pitch of the mower deck. These measurements are: a. The distance from the mower blades to the ground. b. The forward pitch of the mower blades. c. The pitch of the mower blades from side to side. Adjust Trunnions: 1. Using an adjustable or open ended wrench tighten or loosen the lock nut on top. NOTE: To avoid over-adjustment note which nuts have been adjusted and the amount each has been loosened or tightened. 2. Using the same tool, tighten the bottom hex nut to raise the deck OR loosen the bottom hex nut to lower the deck. 3. Tighten the lock nut on top to secure the link in the desired location. 4. Repeat step 1 as needed until all three measurements (a, b, and c) are within the tolerances specified. GB - 23
