Care and Maintenance Stowingthe Headset Bose'recommendsthat you do not leavethe Headsetinyour cockpitorin direct sunlight betweenflights,for severalreasons.Whilethe Headsethasbeendesignedfor storageat temperaturesup to 158°F(70°C),cumulative exposuretohightemperatureswillslowly causechangesin the electretmicrophone elementsin the earcups,reducingtheir active noisereductionperformance.Additionally,the gelintheClearComfort- Cushionsstoresheat. WearingtheHeadsetafter it hasremainedin anextremelyhotor coldcockpitmaybe uncomfortablefor severalminutes. Toassuremanyyearsof enjoymentandto protectyour investment,take your Headset withyou whenyou leavethe aircraft.A lined, drawstringbaghasbeenprovidedwiththe system, for stowingthe Headsetbetween flights.Tostowthe Headset: 1. Bendandrotatetheboomintheclipso thatthe boomextendsbelowand then up thesideof theoppositeearcup(see Figure 4). 2. CoiltheHeadsetcable;donotwrapthe cablewoundthe yokearms.Thisavoids pullingthecushionstogetherand compressingthem. 3. PlacetheHeadsetinitsstorageposition with theearcupsrestingcushion-tocushioninthedrawstringbag.
