6 Web Based Management 6 Overview 6 A standard Web Browser can be used to manage your machine using the HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). You can get the following information from a machine on your network using a web browser.  Machine status information  Change Fax configuration items, such as General Setup, Address Book settings and Remote Fax  Change network settings such as TCP/IP information  Configure Secure Function Lock 2.0 (For MFC-7860DN and MFC-7860DW)  Configure Scan to FTP (For MFC-7460DN, MFC-7860DN and MFC-7860DW)  Software version information of the machine and print server 6  Change network and machine configuration details Note We recommend Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 6.0 (or greater) or Firefox 3.0 (or greater) for Windows® and Safari 3.0 (or greater) for Macintosh.
