Helpful Shooting Features Still Images Magnifying the Area in Focus You can check the focus by pressing the shutter button halfway to enlarge the image area in the AF frame. Configure the setting. Press the n button, choose [AF-Point Zoom] on the 4 tab, and then choose [On] (p. 42). Check the focus. Press the shutter button halfway. The face detected as the main subject is now magnified. To restore the original setting, choose [Off] in step 1. • The display will not magnify if a face was not detected, or if the person is too close to the camera and his or her face is too large for the screen. • The display will not magnify when using the digital zoom (p. 62) or Tracking AF (p. 114). 73
