Charging the Battery Pack before Use zzOnce SELPHY is plugged in (=20), charging starts, and [ ] blinks on the screen. zzAfter charging is finished in about four hours (at room temperature), [ ] is no longer displayed. zzSELPHY can be used even while [ ] is blinking, by turning it on (=20). However, charging stops. When SELPHY is turned off, [ ] starts blinking again and charging resumes. • For battery precautions, refer to the battery user manual. • When [ ] is displayed, before charging, make sure SELPHY is in an environment at operating temperature (=78) and has adjusted to the ambient temperature. • When [ ] is displayed in red, the battery pack has reached the end of its useful life. Purchase a new battery pack. • [ ] display can be cleared by holding down any button other than the button for at least 3 seconds. [ ] is displayed for about 10 seconds if you press any button other than while the screen is off and the battery pack is charging. 75
