To play the keyboard 1 Press the POWER button to turn the keyboard on. 2 Set the MODE switch to NORMAL. 3 Use the MAIN VOLUME slider to set the volume to a relatively low level. 4 Play something on the keyboard. Selecting a Tone This keyboard comes with 264 built-in tones. Use the following procedure to select the tone you want. To select a tone 1 Find the tone you want to use in the TONE List and note its tone number. • Not all of the available tones are shown on the tone list printed on the keyboard console. For a complete list, see the "Tone List" on page A-1. • If the keyboard is connected to a TV, the tone list appears on the TV screen. For information about connecting to a TV, see "VIDEO OUT Jack" on page E-16. Indicator appears 3 Use the number buttons to input the three-digit tone number of the tone you want to select. Example: To select "049 ACOUSTIC BASS", input 0, 4 and then 9. Aco .Bass NOTE • Always input all three digits for the tone number, including leading zeros (if any). If you input one or two digits and stop, the display will automatically clear your input after a few seconds. • You can also increment the displayed tone number by pressing [+] and decrement it by pressing [-]. • When one of the drum sets is selected (tone numbers 256 through 263), each keyboard key is assigned a different percussion sound. To play the keyboard

Selecting a Tone
This keyboard comes with 264 built-in tones. Use the
following procedure to select the tone you want.
