Configuring the Interface Transmission Mode
This section describes the procedure for configuring the interface transmission mode. The Fast Ethernet
and Ethernet interfaces on the Cisco 7200-I/O-2FE/E are duplex auto by default.
Command
Purpose
Step 1
Router(config)#
configure terminal
Enters configuration mode and specifies that the
console terminal is the source of the configuration
subcommands.
Step 2
Router(config-if)#
interface fastethernet 0/0
1
1.
Use the
interface fastethernet
router-shelf/slot/port
command for a Cisco 7200 VXR used as a router shelf in an AS5800 Universal Access
Server.
Selects the Fast Ethernet interface to configure.
Step 3
Router(config-if)#
duplex full
Changes the Fast Ethernet interface port
transmission mode to full duplex from
autonegotiation.
