Verifying the Configuration Use the show interfaces {ethernet | fastethernet | gigabitethernet} command to verify that the interface and line protocol are in the correct state (up) and the transmission mode is configured on the interface. You can configure full, half, or auto transmission mode for Ethernet and Fast Ethernet interfaces. You can configure forced transmission mode for Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.
