Step 6: Update the NetFlex-3 Controller Binding When changing from a NetFlex-3/E to a NetFlex-3/P Controller, the NetFlex-3 driver must be rebound to function properly. Select Start¡ Settings¡Control Panel¡Compaq Net to start the Compaq Advanced Network Control Utility. This utility can rebind a relocated controller or bind a new controller to the services and protocol settings of the old controller. 5. A window similar to the above example will indicate which service(s) are not bound and what adapter(s) are available to bind to. Select the CpqNF31 service and the Netelligent 10/100 adapter. After a controller and service are selected, the Bind button will become active, select it to bind the selections. 14
