NOTE: If the fan LED indicator is amber, the fan has failed. If the LED indicator is green, the fan is working properly. See the section "Hot-Plug Fan LED Indicators" in Chapter 4. To remove an external rear hot-plug redundant CPU fan, 1. From the back of the server, loosen the captive thumbscrew located at the top of the fan . 2.
