SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS NOTICE For your protection, this unit is equipped with a 3-conductor cord set that has a molded 3-prong grounding-type plug, and should be used in combination with a properly connected grounding-type outlet as shown in Figure A. 1. A short power supply cord (or detachable power supply cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. 2. Longer detachable power supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. 3. If a long detachable power supply cord or extension cord is used: a) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; b) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounded type 3-wire cord; and c) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over. UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the gift box containing your Cuisinart® blender on a flat, sturdy surface before unpacking. 2. Remove instruction booklet and other printed materials from the top of corrugated insert. Next remove the top corrugated insert. 3. Carefully lift blender base from box and set aside. 4. Carefully remove lower corrugated insert containing the blender jar assembly. Be careful not to tip the jar when moving. To assemble the blender, follow the Assembly Instructions on page 4 in this instruction booklet. Replace all corrugated inserts in the box and save the box for repackaging. Before using for the first time: Wash all parts according to the Cleaning and Maintenance section on page 6 of this booklet to remove any dust or residue. NOTICE
For your protection, this unit is equipped with a
3-conductor cord set that has a molded 3-prong
grounding-type plug, and should be used in combina-
tion with a properly connected grounding-type outlet
as shown in Figure A.
1. A short power supply cord (or detachable power sup-
ply cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. Longer detachable power supply cords or extension

3. If a long detachable power supply cord or extension

a)
The marked electrical rating of the detachable
power supply cord or extension cord should be

appliance;

and
c)
The longer cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the counter top or table top where

UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Place the gift box containing your Cuisinart
®
blender on a flat, sturdy surface before unpacking.
2.
Remove instruction booklet and other printed
materials from the top of corrugated insert.
Next remove the top corrugated insert.
3. Carefully lift blender base from box and set aside.
4.
Carefully remove lower corrugated insert
containing the blender jar assembly. Be careful not
to tip the jar when moving.
To assemble the blender, follow the Assembly
Instructions on page 4 in this instruction booklet.
Replace all corrugated inserts in the box and save the
box for repackaging.
Before using for the first time: Wash all parts
according to the Cleaning and Maintenance section on
